DANVILLE – Raelene Sprague, Partner and Broker Associate of Empire Realty Associates is one of the sponsors for The American Girl Fashion Show. The fashion show is hosted by Golden View Elementary School in San Ramon. This event will take place at Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton, on the weekend of March 21 & 22. The shows start at 10:30am and 1:30pm on both days, each lasting about two hours.
The American Girl Fashion show is a fun event for girls, friends, and families to celebrate their favorite dolls and fashion. They will learn how clothing has changed over the years to reflect history, culture, and girls’ individual styles. They will also be able to enjoy tea party food and beverages while they see the different American Girl outfits on the models and American Girl dolls.
Raelene strongly believes in the support of education and was proud to be one of the sponsors of this great event. "Supporting our youth and education is important to me,” says Sprague, “The fashion show was a unique way to raise funds for a local school. The event provided young girls and their families and friends with a fun and educational day depicting the history of girls growing up in America."
Tickets are $45/adult and $40/children 10 and under. A raffle will be held where girls can win great prizes that range from books, dolls, and more!

RAELENE SPRAGUE AT EMPIRE REALTY WAS A MAJOR SPONSOR FOR CONCERT FOR A CURE
DANVILLE, CA – Raelene Sprague, Realtor® at Empire Realty Associates, was a major sponsor for Concert for a Cure. This year, Concert for a Cure raised over $115,000, which exceeded their expected goal. Over the past 8 years, a total of $525,000 has been donated to Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).
Families of SMA is the largest international organization that promotes research, education, and support to families affected by this. This year Concert for a Cure took place at the Blackhawk Country Club on May 16, 2008. Between an online auction, live event, and monetary donations, every dollar raised helped to bring Families of SMA closer to a cure.
"I have been involved with Concert for a Cure for 8 years,” says Sprague. “It has been a blessing to see when people pull together and care enough that miracles can happen and research can soar!"
Families of SMA holds monthly events throughout the United States. An upcoming event in the East Bay is the 6th Annual Walk to Benefit Spinal Muscular Atrophy Research and Treatment at Dublin Emerald Glen Park on Saturday, October 11, 2008. Benefiting this organization through donations or volunteer work, will help families affected by this disease.

RAELENE SPRAGUE AT EMPIRE REALTY HELPS TO RAISE OVER $20,000 FOR GOLDEN VIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
DANVILLE, CA - Raelene Sprague, Partner at Empire Realty Associates, was recently one of the major sponsors for a fundraiser for the Golden View Elementary School Gator Fund. Golden View Gator Fund held The American Girl Fashion Shows on April 5th & 6th at Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton to raise money for new computer labs. Over $20,000 was raised.
American Girl is a line of dolls that portray historical events throughout the ages to not only give children dolls to play with but also teaches them about history and tolerance of those who are different.
The Golden View Gator Education Fund was established in 2002 as a way of enhancing the already outstanding opportunities available to the students of Golden View. This non-profit organization is dedicated to providing resources to over 600 students. The Gator Fund is currently raising funds to upgrade the computer lab, purchase science and playground equipment, and additional classroom textbooks.
